  • Jack Seeds - High Pressure Power Washer

    Warning Will Robinson

I purchased one of these from an advert on Facebook, as I thought it could be useful on the allotment for jet washing paving slabs. it took ages to arrive and when it did It's as much a Power Washer as I am having a pee.

A tube with a stop cock about sums it up

Don't touch it with a barge pole, spend your money on something more useful that works

I notice they are flogging another version, I suggest you apply caution if you are considering giving it a try.

Cadders - if it's not fit for purpose you have the right to return it and get your money back.

It's come via abroad and would more than likely cost a fortune to return. I will find a use for it but its a very expensive stop cock on a pole with a Hoselok spigot on one end and if I can prevent other being as gullible as I was then "my work here is done" (He say's in husky super hero voice whilst standing with hands on hips)

Different itenm but these rechargeable handheld vacuums are also close to useless.
The thing you show looks a bit like a technological way of holding your thumb over the end of a hose outlet. Surely for a power washer you need a motor/compressor of some sort to help the water on it's way out.

If you want a rechargeable vacuum that really works try an 18 volt Makita we have them on the vans and have thrown our wired ones away.

I replaced my wired Dyson with a re-chargeable one - it's brilliant and picks up a lot more stuff than the other one. Only problem is it fills up quickly (I have three cats) and the container is a bit small so I have to empty it quite often, and it tends to clog up at the top of the inner filter so I use a slim paper-opener to get it all out. Back to topic, the phrase "Buyer Beware" springs to mind (she says wryly whilst shaking head.

What's the model number please? Presumably it uses same battery as drill/driver. Got one of their strimmers ,which isn't too bad.

I took a chance as it was not massively expensive and after watching the video it look really good. I was wrong and the video had to be faked or a special type of dirt applied or perhaps a different unit doing the job. The advert comes up all the time on facebook and I'm not alone in saying they are carp!

The sprayer on the video is a pumped unit.
