  • I've driven Annie

Just up the road and back (OH needed to see if she was 'crabbing' and she is apprently) but I drove her .

Mind you as she is pre-powered steering and has a brand new steering damper on as well, she has the turning circle of the QE2 and the weight of a fully loaded tanker - makes for tiring driving. I'll have the muscles of a body builder in next to no time (or a slipped disc ). Think the damper may have to come off!

But she's lovely and big and noisy and I love her .

Woop woop Reet, well done. You could hang a string of chillies in the windscreen instead of dice.

Way to go Reet! I used to love our old 'Series' Landies - I think their brakes, steering and odd noises are part of their charm.

Thanks Jax - she''ll look even better once she's had her new coat of paint but that'll be next year, I reckon, as OH is concentrating on her mechanicals at the moment .

                Now that's a good idea

OH has removed the steering damper now and I've had another little drive and she handles a lot easier now. The plan is to let me build up some strength for a while and then refit the damper .

I'm a very happy camper right now
