  • I've been blimmin cloned again GRRRR

It's the second time in two years that some low-life scumbag has hacked my details and started trying to spend my money, and I'm just FURIOUS! £700 from my account??? - I can't get £700 out at the moment so how the .... can anyone else?!

The Bank called me to say they thought there had been fraudulent activity, and told me not to use the card. But now I've got to go in to the Bank and order a new one, they won't do it over the 'phone for security reasons. Then I've got to call a special number and order a claim form to let them know which transactions are mine and which are fraudulent. But I've got to wait a few days for all the transactions to appear on my statement!

Thankfully they'll reimburse anything fraudulent, but that's not the point.

Sorry, just needed to rant and get it off my chest - normal service has resumed!

Anyone know how to hack details? I could do with some retail therapy to cheer me up, so I need some dosh!

That is sooooooooooo rubbish!! Poor you It is totally infuriating isn't it? And you start analysing everywhere you've been trying to work out 'who' and 'how' and 'where'... I never did work it out, gave up coz it was hurting my head!

I hope the bank sort everything out really quickly for you, ours gave us an emergency overdraft til it got sorted out so we didn't starve.

as said on the chat thread.. {{{hugs}}} at least the bank will reimburse... look at it as forced saving not being able to spend!

            That's terrible Glutton4.
I've never had a problem and always felt secure but that makes me feel very threatened.
Hope you can get it all sorted out pronto.
I really think the banks and the police need to put more effort into tracking those low lives. Yhey could if they wanted to. It can't be that difficult - just time and money.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr - I check my statements on-line, so I just went on to the site, but I can't log-in with the Pin-Sentry thing (Barclays) because the card has been cancelled! How am I supposed to see what's been spent? We've got eff-all since I was made redundant last year, so I fail to understand how some scumbag can get their hands on money through our account when we can't!

ANYWAY, Thanks for your kind words and offers, they are greatly appreciated. There are folk much worse off in the world, I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself, I'll be alright again tomorrow - unless I run out of 'vino collapso'

              Bu**ger - just ran out!!!!

Edit: I type so slowly, I missed the previous comments! The first time this happened, I have to say I couldn't fault Barclays, and Barclaycard are also excellent for similar reasons (my Mum's Card), so I'm not expecting too much hassle! Had a similar problem with PayPal once and they were excellent too!

                      OI! I resemble that remark!

and what's wrong with bartering in beans... at least there's some stability in your currency and even when the value goes down due to a glut, you can still eat it
