  • It's Off!!!!

Whoop whoop!!! I have my foot back!!

I was in the hospital for over 2 hours - they were one doctor short in the clinic, and then someone collapsed in Xray, but we got through in the end

It's healed up properly, but it's very, very stiff! Been referred for physio already, and I can put my toes down in the meantime to start getting it working again.

I can't get a shoe on yet (no strength to push it on, and still a bit swollen). Really looking forward to a long, long bath later on, should loosen it up a bit!

Best bit so far? I got to spend 10 minutes scratching it when we got in

Woohoo, thank goodness for that I haven't actually broken anything (famous last words!!) but I hate being incapacitated at the best of times - you must be so relieved.

Just to echo what everyone else has said though, do take it easy to start with.

Hooray! As others have said, take it easy - or we'll put you on the Norty Step (although thinking about it, you might fall off... ).
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

The x-rays are quite funny, I don't think there's a major bone left in that foot without a pin, screw or plate attached to it. The x-ray lady (radiographer?) obviously hadn't looked further back in the notes because she wasn't expecting to see all that
