  • It's always dark.

I go to work & it's dark, I come home & it's dark. How do you spend your evenings?.......I'm bored silly apart from coming on the vine...........My spreadsheet is sorted for the next 4 years rotation (I think)....The seeds are tidy & in order.....The gardens tidy......Looks like I may have to take up a new hobby & learn how the TV remote works. Mrs BM won't like that....

We've been going for a stroll in the evening, and watching The Wire - one episode every night. Soon to run out though. Plus a bit of housey stuff, selling on ebay, sorting seeds from seedsaving, the odd TV programme [and I mean odd]....baking some hobnobs. It's all very homey but very nice.

So glad this isn't the thread I thought it was going to be "it's always dark, woe is me, gloom, misery etc".

You could have a baby - they (in my own experience of course) are a great way to take up time of an evening.

I'm afraid we're both somewhat addicted to playing Drake's Fortune on the newly acquired (by the OH) playstation 3...I swore we'd never have one and now look what happens when we do...I've turned into a treasure hunter

When I can pull myself away I need to get the Christmas cake made, to do lists to prepare for allotment, books to read for book club, yet more exercising to do for winter hols, accounts to do (yeuch), sell things on Ebay....I don't have enough time in the evening

winemaking takes up a bit of time: I've got 12 DJs on the go, and something always needs racking and tasting

I'm now getting into the sorting-out-kids-toys before Xmas, and eBaying ruthlessly

Hi Bigmally, we're a bit north of you so even more dark here! What I do in the evenings is mostly crafts (trying to make as many Christmas presents as possible this year) or making cakes for my and OH's lunch boxes. You could take up star gazing maybe?
