  • I'm NOT ready For It!!! (yet)

So, if you can't post on the Ready For It thread, let's hear what you've still go to do then!

    I have to:

Go to Tesco for little oranges, salad and more wrapping paper (ran out last night with the finishing line in sight)

Make a pork and herb terrine for meaty people; and a potted crab for pescatarians (no full veggies to cater for)

Take mince pies out of freezer

    Chill Champagne

    Make little canapes for tonight

    Tidy entire house

    Deliver a forgotten Christmas card

Don't mind any of the above really. This will be the first time me and Mr R have EVER had a Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at home (usually with family) so it's dead exciting!
    I don't roll on Shabbos

Wrap a pile of presents, make up beds for guests, shove the Hoover around absolutely everywhere, collect the turkey from a farm whose lane was washed away in the 2007 floods, dig out and wash the posh, used-once-a-year china, dig-up/pick the veg, walk the dogs until they're too exhausted to do THAT THING to peoples legs..............
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

      You're nearly there - you've got a list.

      If you've got a list - you're practically done.

I've got to get milk; I suppose that will be a trial in itself.

I have a mental list in my head. I did the last minuet dash to Tesco after work yesterday. Thank god it was not too busy!

All I have to do now is tidy up the house.
Make up the bed in the spare room ready for my son to stay 2moz.
Make some last minuet spiced mango chutney.
Then as is my tradition, last but not least wrap the pressies while having a nice drink, bottle of wine probably and some snacks.

Happy Christmas and love to all!
        xx Jan

I don't suppose anyone knows where my sellotape is? Gonna be a few amateurishly wrapped pressies tomorrow if I can't find it!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I have a few presents to wrap - not many so nearly done. Anything else can just wait till tomorrow.

Madmax has presents to wrap and still hasn't put the Christmas records in the jukebox!!! (at this rate there will be none again this year)
              Happy Gardening,

I know I've got some, cos I bought it specially! There's never any harm in checking the contents of the fridge, I'll go and make doubly sure it's not there now

I ended up using address labels cut into strips one year... the sellotape turned up a few days later - in the fruit bowl
