  • I'm Going to Work Today!

    Wish Me Luck!

Not been for 2 years -

OH has got to be a house-husband today - best wish him luck too! He has got less contracting work so I have to go and do my bit too. Agency rang me last night and as it's a good school I said I'd go. (supply)

I had my day all planned as well, mum was going to have the toddlie while I shovelled a tonne of topsoil on the bumpy lawn.... I am looking forward to seeing the finished product when I get home

Loads of luck Janeyo but I doubt you'll need it - most likely HH will need it more.

Sounds like you're covering for a sensible teacher who couldn't face last day of term!

              Hope it went well!

As you'll more than likely read this when you get back, well done you! You survived and once you got past the scary, I bet it felt good to be out there. Really hope it went well and hopefully OH sorted the bumpy lawn for you as a present

Hope your day has gone well - what is it you are doing? Do tell! I know it may seem rather strange after two years, but youve been given the job on your merits - they believe in you, and you can obviously do the job. Well done!

Good luck, janeyo. This happened to me a couple of years ago and the first few days back were quite stressful, but you soon get back in the swing.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Think you were right, glutton. They were a bit loopy today.

I was in a walk through classroom and luckily whenever another teacher came through all was calm and most were working (or pretending to anway!)

It was strange to go back bit somehow felt that I had never been away! Good job it's Easter hols as I need 2 weeks to recover now lol.

OH managed to get loads done today and is gloating about it all obviously.. and assures me he didn't sit and watch daytime tv!

Thanks for all the kind words

Well done Janeyo and I hope you enjoyed it! I've been off 'proper' work since I was made redundant last June, and I expect I would be a complete wreck if I was offerered 'real' work now! At least you've got the Easter Hols to rejuvinate LOL....
