  • I'm back...

Thank you all for your kind messages.

I've been unable to get to the vine for 8 weeks but I've managed to access a computer at home (I usually only have my work computer but I'm still off).

    I've missed you all terribly.

My allotment looks like a jungle but it is being very productive so I can't really complain. I seem to be able to harvest stuff but not much else with my hands LOL.

Welcome back indeed, hope your hands feel stronger soon and you can do more "stuff."

                Thanks Guys!
My hands are on the mend I can do gentle weeding but I've not got much strength at the moment. Both hands are taking longer to recover than anyone expected. I'll get there eventually but in the mean time I'm growing weeds among my crops LOL

Good that you are up and about Bex.

Take it easy now; remember a weed is just a plant in the wrong place. It doesn't have to be removed immediately!

Weird! That is pretty much word for word exactly what I was going to say!

I had to do the same speech at a school garden yesterday - the teacher seems to think that the weeds are winning.....you can see the photo on faceache but the weeds most definitely aren't!

There is a nice nettle patch, or two; I've told her just to keep on top of the Fat Hen and we can deal with the rest another day.

Then we mulched with hay and - well, the difference is amazing! Totally recommend mulching - it just boosts the spirits.
