  • I'm back!

Just thought it's about time I updated those Grapes who might be interested. The reason I've been away from the vine for so long is 'cos I've moved. Left sunny Yorkshire to go darn sarf. So here I am in wet and windy Wiltshire amid moonrakers and pubs that still sell real ale.

Not got a plot yet, there are only two sites in the town, both council but one privately managed with a closed waiting list. The other has a very slow turnover so it could be a long wait. There is a very strong movement to get transition town status for the town so things may get easier in 2009.

We had an extension built on the house and just got the garden back yesterday so there is much to do once the ground dries up a bit. first job to keep the dogs out of the mud and get a base down for a shed.

Anyway enough for now. The sun is trying to get out and got some decorating to do.

Welcome back lad! Good luck on getting the garden in order. Just been digging in mine - you forget how much there is of it till it all needs digging over.

Different everything, but a much longer growing season than I'm used to. Lots of new stuff to try that didn't stand a chance up't north. Might even be able to put stuff in when it says on the lable - thought whoever put planting time on seed packets was making it up before.
