  • If you really love her....

Some years ago I had a heart attack and had to go to rehab classes afterwards.

Some interesting facts came to light about how to keep a healthy heart

    Women live longer than men.

    Housework is good exercise.

Ergo, women live longer than men because they usually do the housework.

So I thought how could I in all faith deprive OH of the chance of a long and healthy life?

So gents if you love her, don't offer to do any house work at all. She may be feeling ill but think it through, be kind and although you really really want to help, you may be starting her off to a decline.

However you wouldn't want to deprive her of your faithful companionship by having a bad ticker yourself.

    Facts again

    Walking is a good exercise

Alcohol is good for keeping a heart healthy

So she has 2 benefits (being a woman & doing the house work), so only fair you should have 2 benefits as well, just for her sake you understand.

    Walk the dog!

Better yet, walk the dog to the pub and back

    There you are status quo!

Ah you are travelling to the centre of the earth.

Not shopping I hope. If you are remember to rope yourself to whoever you with, as it can get quite busy.

But Steve, if we're talking statistics... the person most likely to murder you is your partner! I'd recommend caution on the housework point
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

And as women do tend to be way more devious than men, we'd be more likely to get away with it too.

OK, Squashysu, just noticed that you are a little to near for comfort. I admit defeat.

Have no need to stand at A&E for hours and then explaining what I need removing.

Will just go off and hang the washing if you will excuse me. Thank you.

I know statistics show that women live longer than men on average; but have you ever wondered - seeing that we do the housework and stuff - that maybe it just seems like that...?

                          No time, no time.

I thought Sunday was a day of rest. So far, walked dog, Took down a large computer desk, broken down and baled up loads of cardboard boxes (where the hell they all came from Lord only knows). Loaded up car and been down the dump. Called into Tesco, went to B&Q bought draw runners, quadrant, bricks and 8 bags of 20mm gravel. Filled hole in front of house where a tree was taken out. Wire brushed and painted the base of the greenhouse I was given. Dismantled 2 shelving units and lugged down stairs.

Still all I've got to do now is find the tarps for the market stall and the fittings, put these on the car. Go through all my stock and crate up. Repair girl child's chests of draws (how did she manage to push through the drawer bases of 12 drawers I don't know), move her wardrobe and bed to opposite sides of bedroom (why?) and probably have to do emergency run to Argos for things for her bedroom (that's par for coarse).

Other than that, I can pretty much laze around, so I'll forgo the experience of driving over to Dunstable to hang out washing (good drying day mind).

Oops sorry, iron still be hot, better be polite then.

                          Thank you
