Three weeks ago i was left with no option but to put a complaint letter in against my boss, it was dismissed by my HR manager until i involved the union and i then decided to raise an official grevience based on the grounds of sex discrimination. It was heard last week by my bosses boss and the HR managers manager and i have been told that this week when they tell me their findings they will side with me and my boss will be called to task. this isnt the first time my boss has done this too me and i had decided that it had to stop. I have also just been offered a 4 fiqure sum in a settlement for an accident i had in a popular supermarket,they denied the accident at first then admitted full liabilty !?! sometimes taking a stand for what is right works out for the best!

I have to say i feel quite proud of myself for standing up to my boss, (as nice as it was to be offered the money from my accident, which means i can buy my very first potting shed woo hoo), i took a stand as the only female manager on a 400+ site, for myself and my female staff that sex discrimination does still happen and it is NOT okay to sit back and accept it.Life isnt about surviving the storm.....But learning to dance in the rain.Comment
