  • I hate Tescos!

Just been shopping, and I've decided - I hate Tescos!

It started as soon as we walked through the doors - too much stuff going on, too small a doors and lots of people trying to get in/out.

You then get the pillocks who stand in the middle of the aisle with their trolley strewn accross the aisle whilst they look bemusedly at the sharon fruit. They then get the @rse when you say excuse me and move their precious trolley for them.

Then, LadyWayne wasn't feeling well so we were hurredly making our way through the rest of the shopping list - me trying to keep up with her to ensure she was alright. Once again we reached a bottle neck and there were trolleys everywhere, people trying to push past me, so I followed LadyWayne through the tight gap to get out of the aisle. Little Tesco employee lady then makes sarcy comment to me. I'm now in a bit of a bad mood.

We make it to the checkout eventually and proceed to pack shopping (as LadyWayne composes herself) on innadequate checkout "chutes". Not enough room for bag plus shopping.

Anyway, we get out into the lovely sunny (if slightly windy) outside. I load teh shopping into the car, then take the trolley back to the trolley shelter and for once there are no other trolleys in the shelter. So I go to push the trolley to the back and bang I smack the top of my head on the bar accross the entrance to the shelter. I have a flash and lash out at the shelter - punching the thing as it hurt me (I see red mist whenever I hit my head). I thought about going into the store to complain, but frankly don't think I'll get anything from teh store staff apart from a giggle - which would rile me further. Plus, should have been more careful shouldn't I!

I'm now sat here with a lump on my head, a headache and my hand's quite sore.

    Like I said, I hate chuffin Tesco's.

Thank you for allowing me to vent...

Not too often thankfully, but I do have quite a nice collection of scars atop my head.

Partly why I grow my hair kinda spikey messy - gives me a split second warning. Like whiskers I guess...

Lump should be gone tomorrow. Weather looks quite good though.

I hate them as well, but I hate all shopping. If I could trust the numpties that pack the stuff I'd do it online and never set foot in them again I would. The only thing now is that they at least give away the boxes for the lottie - i went the other day and took no bags with me as I have been in need of the boxes. And when I got to the checkout - no boxes. They sent a boy to look and apparently, there were none in the whole shop. No boxes in the whole of a tesco extra. Ya right.

So I packed all the shopping back into the trolley without bags, as had a few old bags from the lottie in another box in the car.

God I hate them. We try and stick to the co-op where we can but they just haven't got the range for us veges whereas the others do.

I know what you mean about numpties packing fruit and veg. List says medium onions. Numpty reads large leek. List says pineapple. Numpty reads kiwi fruits.

Doesn't stop with fruit and veg unfortunately.

We've not "on-lined" for several years now as a result.

Hate it. Also hate morrisons, sainsbury and waitrose. If we had an asda I'm sure I'd hate that too. All too big, too much junk, too many people, too much noise. I don't like being that close to the rest of the species.

Apparently Tesco online has improved. Ocado is good - expensive compared to others but has never messed up my order and always delivers right on time.

I'm starting to hate almost any large company and/or corporation. I know the whole point of them is to make money - just like the little shop that once graced our street corners - but it's that underhand way they do it. The way the store is arranged according to a psychological plan so that you 'want' to but more stuff. The buy-one-get-one-free or 'bogof' principle that nine times out of ten, applies to an item of food that requires an accompaniment, eg bogof chicken Korma, so you 'have' to go buy two naan breads and two packets of popadums where you wouldn't have bought any of them in the first instance!

In saying that, my Tesco's is actually ok. I go at times when it's never too busy and there was a time, not long ago, when I had a Tesco loan, Tesco car, house and pet Insurance, Tesco Dial-up internet access, Tesco mobile (still do) and a Tesco Mastercard - which gives me clubcard points when I use it anywhere.

Miss those little corner shops. Our local one was recently taken over and cloned by Spar.
Smile! It's the curve that can set a lot of things straight!

Gave up shopping in supermarkets and now spend less and eat much better and don't have the stress of shopping there. Would recommend a boycot to you all, tis much better and whatever you think, almost everybody can do it after a bit of investigation into alternatives.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

So,we all hate shopping in supermarkets. I do try to do all my shopping in the market or at the farmer's market but they don't sell lav.roll or washing powder etc. So I have to put up with it and look around for somebody nice and tall to reach things from top shelves for me!!!

OH went to tesco's last night ....... came back in a right old mood, cos someones kid ran into his trolley, and screamed the place down ........ the parents then came over screaming at him, telling him to be more careful, and threatening to beat him up ..... i think next time he sees the kid he'll run it over on purpose lol

i hardly ever do supermarkets, son works part time on a market stall so i get reduced prices on all my toiletries, he also picks up veg on his way home from work, which is also cheaper than the supermarket ...... the local butcher does massive meat packs, which are definitely cheaper than the supermarket, B&M bargains does cat and dog food and tea bags, ridiculously cheap, and home bargains has reduced price biccies and choccie, we don't do pre packaged or processed food (except the occasional pizza, bacon buttie, or sausages ..... which we get from iceland or the cheapy freezer shop in town)....... i understand the convenience of supermarkets, but i always spend less if i shop in town ..... and everythings fresher and it doesn't cost me a fiver to get home in a taxi
