  • I Don't FLIPPIN Believe It....

I've just logged onto my bank acc, and discovered that some evil, nasty, thieving B*st*rds have been robbing it

Now, I've always joked that anyone could nick my identity, because we've got nowt to take, but whoever it was seems to think that our last £££ was worth blowing on MOBILE TOP-UPS!!!!!! I am sooooooooooooo angry!!!! And although the bank will undoubtedly refund it, it won't be til Monday, which means we have nothing all weekend! Plus it won't be in time for the bill going out on Monday, we'll get charged for bouncing something, and will have to argue to get it back! Aaaaaaagh!!!

And the worst thing is, I have absolutely NO IDEA how my card details have been robbed. I only buy stuff online through reputable companies, or via Paypal, and I haven't even used my card out of the house since November!

That's evil! It's happened to me.

Don't worry about the bouncing stuff. As long as you've notified the bank, they'll watch the account and refund you once it's cleared. Well, they should do anyway!

The same thing's just happened to my son and that's what his bank told him. If they don't, change your bank!

It happened to me....£30 when I used my card at ASDA serve yourself petrol staion, altho the bank would not confirm this..top up for Orange phone..I dont have a mobile.

Repayed OK but still the hassle of cancelling my card etc.

Bank says it has happened a few times and they try the top up route before stripping your account.take care

That happened to my oh, and he lost hundreds, he also uses pay pal....................... he got it all back off the bank but he had to get a brand new account etc..... and had to keep going into the bank to get cash while they put his account on hold, it was a pain but its never happened since.

It's a very common occurrence. I had just short of £300 disappear from my account. I had apparently bought an airline ticket from a discount Italian airline company. Odd thing is that I haven't had a passport in nearly 10 years.
Mine was an account with a Debit card. The Debit card has never left my house although I do use it for online purchases.
It happens and it probably happens more frequently than the Banks care to admit.
