  • I Don't Believe It!!

Just got in from the plot - a bit peckish & thought I will open a tin of Salmon for a sandwich - glanced at the 'allergy advise' bit & guess what the warning was - yes - contains FISH - what was I thinking - I would open a tin of salmon & it would contain nuts - no - that's written on the packet of peanuts!

What sort of world do we now live in? Can we not realise a salmon is indeed a fish, or a peanut is in fact a nut????

What labelling have you come across - warning - this allotment may have traces of vegetables!

I got a bit fed up with all the "Child On Board", "Little Princess" etc, so I made my own one up "Old Git on Board". That brought a few laughs
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

I bought some pure orange juice that had a big logo on the side saying 'LOCALLY PRODUCED'?

The small print stated it was produced locally from concentrate of oranges grown in Brazil!

PS So in effect, they added local water!

These are all very good, however i work as a duty manager in a supermarket and what really makes me giggle is the silly and pointless names given to some products for example shredded wheat you know is going to be shredded wheat but what on earth is a golden graham...have they dipped a man in a golden glace???? Pointless!!!!!

My office door has a red ring 'prohibition sign' and inside is a picture of my boss, with 'No Robs' underneath. Silly beggar kept coming to the wrong office after he moved out of ours into his own.

Last week two of us had snotty colds, so I made up a sign saying, 'picornavirus and rhinovirus in culture. Warning - snot emissions likely.' That got a few giggles in the corridor!

Working in a lab, we have to be sign happy for health and safety, including 'Sparks/Explosion hazard' for the fridges (we can't store solvents or alcohols in such fridges). I saw a fridge magnet at a Steam Rally yesterday, that said, 'Warning, unexploded bomb.' I sooooo nearly bought it, but then considered it might be a joke too far
