  • How was it for you?

I refer to our first 'proper' morning without Terry Wogan on R2

Sorry Chris but you are just a little too lively for me first thing - but I guess you'll grow on me and we must all embrace change

I liked Terry's humour, but his music choices were usually dire. I'm glad Chris is on in the mornings, to wake me up a bit!

I'm a huge fan of Chris - I'm more disappointed that he isn't doing the drivetime slot than I am happy he's doing the breakfast show. My journey in is quicker than my journey home - so I won't get to listen to him for as long.

He he - actually it is largely.

More to do with me getting in early and leaving on time. I'm in before the traffic has chance to accumulate and out on time along with everyone else.

Today, I have switched off Radio 1 and switched on Chris Evans on Radio 2!!!

Generally, I found him funny, and the mix of music good. Radio 1 is starting to irritate me. God, I'm getting old!!

Being of a certain age, R2 is my R1 - if you see what I mean I left R1 over 20 years ago

I loved Chris' Drivetime show, and will miss it. Simon Mayo just hasn't got enough ooomph for me. I thought Richard Allinson did a cracking job of Drivetime last week, and am disappointed that he won't be continuing. He's got a much more dynamic radio presence than Simon, IMHO. (I loved it when he took over from Jonathon Ross for a few weeks after 'that incident' last year).

RICHARD ALLINSON IS GREAT (I hope he reads this )

I love Free Bird!! I adore Steve Wright too, I think he's wonderful, and he's got a great ensemble team on 'The Big Show'.
