        You realise when talking to small children, that you have become that "old man with the hairy nostrils" that so fascinated you when you were really young, you couldn't pay attention to what he was saying...
        There's no point reading history if you don't use the lessons it teaches.

            That's cos policemen etc ARE teenagers nowadays Jelliebabe.
            For me it was when a girl I work with had her 21st, someone said it made them feel so much older, and then I suddenly realised that OMG I was 30 years older!!!

              explaining to DD that TV used to go off at midnight(ish) & there were only 3 then 4 channels, pubs shut at 10.30 & clubs at 2am......god i sound old but it wernt that long ago!!!!!

                    Cripes..........I remember it well now, falling asleep on the chair and being woken up by 'God save the Queen' and the test page!

                        When you show your kids the likes of button moon etc, and realise how dated it looks nice (but it's still awesome!)

                          On hols one year we passed a sign to Hutton Roof (nice little village) which some naughty person had changed to Button Moon. Son - then about 8, now 36 (!) laughed himself silly!
