Default How to pronounce Couch Grass

Ok be honest, how many people thought that Couch Grass was pronounced "cowtch grass" and not "cootch grass".

I'll start the proceedings...

I have only ever know it as Cooch (as in smooch) grass!

We always called it twitch in Manchester. (where I grew as far up as I'm going to.)

Just googled it and it came up as cowtch; not cootch. Several times.

Me too, I've always called it cootch don't know why though, Didn't think I had ever seen any I just had to Google it to find out what it looked like.

They have dictionaries which tell you how things are pronounced and I've since found out it can be pronounced both ways;live and let live as they say.

ˈkauch-, ˈküch-
