  • How much of your Crimbo shopping have you done online?

I make my apologies now to the high street shops but................I've done every bit of my Crimbo shopping online. With seven Grand bairns my Paypal account has taken a beating!
I am getting to the point of being agoraphobic in shopping Malls and would rather be a silver surfer!

I have bought gifts for my grandkids which I always do early just in case the stuff disappears out of the dtores if its something popular they want.
Eldest grandon will get money or gift tokens and I am working on the rest.
Its not the shopping thats the problem, its the what to buy .

I'm working silly hours at the moment, another 12 hour day today, plus I'm on jury service in a fortnight. Therefore I think the only time I can go to the shops is Friday. The rest will be online but then I usually do quite a bit online. Turkey Lurky will come from the local farm.

I hate the town centre now. So many clothes shops/charity shops/places selling food, no longer any little independent shops selling pretty and novel gifts.

I've done my present buying online for several years now. Apart from the joy of shopping sitting down, with a cup of tea or coffee (almost like it was done in shops in the good old days!), it's possible to find more individual and unusual gifts than the run of the mill high street offerings.

Even for those who prefer gift tokens I buy them online.

We have been to Tesco and they had the cheaper version of Lego reduced so the kids have got two bits each and Han has a pretty pink top. Think we will get them some sweets and some diddy little that will be about it. My mom and dad have got them several other bits.
Then we will get my dad some wine and mom some chocolates. Sister a gift voucher and my nephew some money. That's will be about it I think.

I won't be going to the shops. I only go to town if absolutely necessary. My local city always has large groups of youths hanging around. My husband, who suffers from anxiety at the best of times, panics and would probably end up being arrested one way or another if he spent time there. Today I have been showing his younger sister, age 84 with knee and recent hip replacement, how to shop on the internet. We bought some items. By tomorrow no doubt she'll have picked out some more items and I'll help her again until she gets more confident She disproves the theory that "you can't teach an old dog new tricks."
