  • How many different packets of seeds do you have for next year?

I know this has been asked before but I can't find the thread so thought i'd ask again?

    I'll start.

I have 38 packets of veg seeds, 6 herbs, 5 flowers and 4 fruit.
Think that makes 53, or it does at this time of night anyway. I have 14 more veg packs coming in the post and 1 herb. That will be 68. That doesn't look too bad written down but when I think about having at least one of each of those as plants it's a bit scary, and to think that there'll probably be at least 3 of some and up to about 30 of others it scares the life out of me. Holy c**p. Come on people reassure me that this is not so bad, I know that some of you are much worse than me.

Have fun counting and I look forward to seeing your honest confessions.
Remember it's just a bad day, not a bad life 😁

Stirrer!! I honestly cannot count my seeds as they are scattered in various places - they never all come together for a census. It must be several hundred though Some are quite old too. I've just emptied a lot of old seed packets into jars of mixed lettuces, radishes, beetroot, etc and I'm going to sprinkle them around, just to ease my conscience as I cannot throw a single seed packet away

Is counting them the first step to admitting you have a problem?

If it is, I'm resolutely not counting them!

You are all spoil sports. The first sign of a problem is hiding your problem from someone else, or from everyone else in this case.

We are a mutual support group so don't need to hide our "problems" from each other - but we don't like to quantify them as that really is just a tad too personal
