  • How early do you rise in the morning?

Just wondering how early you all get up and what is the earliest you have been out working in the garden.

For me, i am usually up at 5-5.30am. (even when i dont have to up early, i usually wake at this time)
If the weather is good, i would take a walk around the garden with me cup of coffee at this time and may pull out a weed or two.

i dont normally do much else in the garden until i have everyone dropped off at school and work.

    How about you?

Like you, I'm usually up around 5 - 5.30. Chill time for a bit with a nice cup of tea - log on to Facebook and catch up on my scrabble goes, and log on to the Vine to see what's been happening.

Alarm is set for 6am but even at weekends I am up at the same time, once the sun is up then so am I. In my fishing days, I have been known for getting up @ 3am & been on the river by 4am.........It was the best part of the day, listening to the birds waking up, no one in sight & not a care in the world.

I'm at 7:15-8:30 depending on where in the county I'm working that day. I'm not much of a morning person so I only leave myself 30 minutes between getting up and leaving the house.

When I was ill I was always so tired that getting up was the most difficult part of the day so I'd only give myself 15 minutes to get up and leave the house so I got as long as possible in bed!

I`m usually up at sevenish. I wake up with the sun but try to nod off again for an hour. Then come down, see to the chickens and the hound then relax with a cuppa coffee.

It all depends on the Snore Monster: sometimes I get up at 7am, sometimes it's 4am.

5.30/6ish for me, workdays up, dog walked, cats fed, chicks fed & released!!! then at work for 7.30. Weekends same time but like VM peruse the garden (usually in dressing gown) with coffee in hand (sometimes back to bed with coffee if its raining) downside of an early start is that i'm ready for bed by 9pm

5am give or take a few mins. Don't use an alarm clock. Had to get up for years at 5am for my job. Now in a different job and don't need to be awake and up but I just can't sleep beyond 5. Like others though it means I not a night owl and in bed about 10pm.

Nice to see i am not the only early riser

I too go around the garden in my PJ's or dressing gown.

Bigmally, i agree, not a care in the world and all the sounds of nature. I usually go and speak to the farmers cows in the next field to us. They are all mums with their little calfs, so we have a lot in common raising our young out in the country. Think i maybe need to get out more LOL

I work shifts so my body clock is all over the place. Could be any time of the day, this week it'll mostly be 3pm.

                              My body clock non-exsistent too

When I work its between 5.30-6, days off I'm up at 7 when the husband comes home from work. Do occasional nights too which muck things up further.
Days off at weekend can stay in bed as late as 10 even though pickle has orders to wake me as soon as she gets up. Trouble is I'm an owl by nature and an early night for me is around 11.30-12.30. Have tried going up earlier, but unless I'm unwell I just lay awake for ages or read for ages
