  • How do you use chicken pellets?

I bought 2 x tubs of chicken manure pellets to improve my soil along with some compost and slow release plant food.

I intend to put a few bags of compost on each bed along with some slow release food but unsure what to do with the pellets!

    Any advise welcome

Generally if plants are looking a bit tired I get a handful and spread over the ground around the plants. I suppose about 1 or 2 handfuls per square metre. Alternatively if preparing ground for replanting, especially if I have just cleared one crop and are going straight in with another, I throw handfuls around and rake it in. I also throw it on the flower borders at home, and give a bit more to the roses and clematis. Not very technical and no doubt you'll get other suggestions but it works for me!
