| Mandy You lucky thing I'm off to Cavus Bay (avatar picture), its by Kumluca we also fly into Antalya. I've got friends out there who I go to see every year. The kids love Turkey and the resort we go to is so small I know they are safe.

| Enjoy your holiday Alice. My OH is dragginf me of on holiday on 12th May for 2 weeks. Don't know what i am going to do with all my plants. Sometimes when i can't sleep at night i start thinking about it and i literally break out in a cold sweat. How sad is that when i should be looking forward to my 2 weeks in Purto Rico. |

| Looks like the Grapes fair get about the world Bramble. Enjoy your holiday. We try to take out main holidays in March and October to avoid abandoning lots of plants as it is difficulr to find anybody reliable to do it.

| I know exactly what you mean bramble. We have 2 weeks july/august booked and I am spending many a sleepless night planning my sowing so harvesting doesn't fall around this time plus don't want stuff in the greenhouse which will need constant watering. I could ask my father in law but he has his own, (NOT from experience but "you don't want to do it like that, you want to do it like this" school of thought) ideas for example, tomatoes should be picked green and ripened on the windowsil. |

| July/August wouldn't be my choice as it is far more expensive and now with the lottie but my youngests school threatened to report me to social services if I took him out of school again. Hope everyone has a great time on the holidays and look forward to hearing what a great time everyones had.

| We're working round each other for the school hols this year and have a wedding in June and Miss EBs birthday so I doubt we will get anywhere for the summer due to not being off together and Mr EBs surgery (just a little nick!). Oh and money!!! Hope everyone enjoys their hols, some fab places to go,look forward to hearing all about it.

| We are not planning a holiday this year, having made the mistake of going away for a fortnight at the end of May last year. Big mistake even though No 1 son and friend looked after the lottie for us, they were so busy gadding around the country that they didn't manage to water every day in all that heat. We paid for a fortnight in the sun and found out that it had been just as warm here too. this year we stick to the lottie.

| Well Serenity, is'nt that just what you don't need, someone telling you what to do and how to do it. I have no one to look after mine but my daughter who hates gardening, has two children to look after, a part time job and my two cats to feed.I think my greenhouse and garden will be very far down on her list of priorities. |

| bramble there must be lots of ways to set up 'auto-watering'? perhaps you should start a thread asking for ideas? we've got one of those mini-watering kits, all pipes and stuff, with a timer that goes on your tap. Not for all our garden but it worked in the greenhouse. You don't want to spoil your hols worrying about your plants.
