  • Hit by a bus

Not me or mine but my house !!
About 11.30 this morning, a bus collided with the original victorian wood and slate canopy over our front door, more or less destroying it and ripping it from it's securing holes in the wall.
Have called the insurance company and on hearing the name of the coach company involved, they have decided against sending a claims advisor and are sending a loss adjuster tomorrow. Meanwhile I have borrowed some police cones and have had to cordon off our front door area and pavement in case anything should fall on pedestrians.

perhaps a sign advising umbrella use / hard hats mandatory with the cones?

      All the best.

My sis in law had her car rammed down the road 50 yards by the bin lorry last month - total write off, they claimed not to have seen it!

Blimey oh Reilly - close call.

Hope you get it repaired and repaired back to original features - it's not going to be an easy job that.
