  • Hillsborough

Just heard the bell toll 96 times in Liverpool as a mark of respect following today's shocking revelations that there was indeed a massive cover up by the police in 1989.

May all the families now be able to grieve properly for their lost ones.

Fantastic news for the families who lost loved ones and the people of Merseyside... This could open many cans of worms in the upcoming weeks.... I hope that justice is now reached for you all. People should still be held accountable for what happened that day in my opinion, and I'm sure that it will not end until questions and answers are brought out into the open.

Probably a subject best left for sporting &/or political forums to debate/express opinions

I agree, this is good news for the families who lost someone.

I only live 5 mins up the road from the sheffield wednesday ground, and go past the memorial atleast once a week, and every time theres always loads of flowers and scarfs etc. As newton said hopefully the families will be able to grieve now!

Probably right that here isn't the place to debate what happened then or today's info but I think we can all join in mourning the 96.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

No problem. I was merely expressing a feeling about actually hearing a bell toll 96 times. It was quite emotional and a unique tribute.

Whenever I hear more about Hillsborough, I think about the people exposed to the tragedy, too. A boy in my class was one of the lucky ones, helped into the stand above. He was very quiet for a long time after.

An emotive subject indeed... I have posted my feelings and will not post on the subject again. Thanks.
