  • Help!

I've just cut open a smallish squash to remove the seeds and they've sprouted inside the squash! Is it still alright to eat? Stupid question, probably, but I'm not a squash expert!

I don't know the answer but I'd eat the squash and plant the seeds. Wouldn't even cross my mind not to!

The seeds must feel a little squashed now they've germinated (sorry! )

Oh hahaha! Thanks - if you don't hear from me you'll know why! HFW's leek stuffed squash for supper!

As long as the flesh is not rotting, it doesn't matter a blind bit what the seeds are doing, you're not eating them !
For further reassurance, I once ate an apple which had a sprouting seed in the core and suffered no ill effects. (Sadly the seedling perished, as advice on the Vine indicated is likely in such cases.)
