  • Help with virtual garden layout planner....

... if you know what I mean. I'm looking for something I can draw my garden plan on line. Like b and q have for when you're planning a kitchen. I know you can buy planners with cd roms etc but I've only got a little garden. How do you do your plans... do you draw them with pencil; onto paper - like they did in the olden days (ha!! Says she, approaching her fifties!!)

Did a sort of scale drawing first, to get the measurements right... I then drew it up 'properly' and copied a few of them...

Every year I've got an outline plan, and I get out my coloured pencils and 'draw' my veg sections

growveg.com has a nice online planner. It's not free, it costs £15 for a year, but you can get a 30 day free trial first to see if you like it. I found it useful and got a 2 year subscription.

          I've used:
          • blank paper and pencil
          • squared paper and pencil
          • back of envelopes
          • Visio
          • Powerpoint
...all of which end up keeping me away from my garden

Off to buy some compost now to sow me carrots in me bucket. (I'll just have a quick look at that website first!)
