Doesn't it feel good when they pop up and say hello!

I usually get 99.9% germination with peas, but this year down to about 80%. All thriving though. Outside and climbing like mad. I just luv um!

Blimey! My success rate has been about 50%, but I'm sure a lot of the packets were past their best. I'll be planting mine out in the next few days, if this blimmin wind ever stops!

My Auntie Flum peas were greeting me by the back door today....I usually sow direct, but wanted to give them a deffo good start in pots from home
I usually get a pretty good germination rate...it's what I do with them after that always seems to fail! This year I'm shadowing one of the great pea growers on our site & copying everything he does,so fingers crossed we may get enough to take home this year as opposed to just eating from the pod!

I sowed some direct, after 2 weeks nothing happening (but I saw the odd shoot appear, then vanish) I decided to try indoors, to give them a headstart against whatever might munch...
I now have 25 small plants, ready to be planted, but we revised the plans and they are going in big pots, so we have to buy the big pots now.....
