  • Have to Show You My Cat.....

    .......crafty cat that she is!

This is Cleo, finishing my milk for me. She does this as often as she can get away with. Pour the milk out into a bowl and she won't look at it, but she'll spend hours dipping her paw in. She's can tolerate milk, a few of our cats can't.

She looks just like my old Phoebe who used to do just the same - she was mainly right-pawed.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

She looks a lot like mine, but Wolfie has longer fur. I'll see if I can find a pic of her and upload it to Flickr or something

Another cat of mine will absolutely not drink water anywhere but straight from the tap. I often find him sitting in the sink in the kitchen waiting for me to turn the tap on ever so slightly lol

Sarriss, ours are like that. They like the shower because it drips and there's always a puddle in the shower tray. They were most miffed when we had the kitchen taps replaced and the new mixer didn't drip.

Now that Cleo's finished the milk, she's currently sunbathing under the lamp....

haha Glutton, if not worse! Both Wolfie and her son Smudge can fetch. They're especially crazy for bottle caps and will fetch until you're fed up of throwing it lol

My male cat also likes to drink from the kitchen tap and he likes to lick at condensation too. He's not so keen on water in a bowl though, but will drink from a glass. He used to like dipping his paw in bath water then licking it off, it's strange when you're having a bath and your cat's drinking it.

Cleo is very cute, thanks for sharing the pics.

Sorry Jules, but that thread title was going to be a massive spam magnet

Just showed your pics of clever Cleo to my two and told them to do something cute and/or clever.

Dom said something unrepeatable before disappearing under the duvet.

Oli - eager to please - asks if sitting in a box is clever? I told him, no, but he might pass for 'cute'.

I was embarrassed too - because I thought I'd get the blame Clever cat, Jules.
I had a dog once who would visit the neighbours' doorsteps, open the milkbottle tops and drink the top few inches of milk. The birds took all the blame until I realised what was happening and those strange birds, with long beaks, left the country.

My parrot loves milk too (and cheese & yogurt & porridge), I don't know why, it's not as if it's a natural food for a tropical bird

She's just looked at your clever cat Jules, and said "yeah, but it can't ask for milk, can it?" (she says "want some")
