Same to you, the sad thing here in England is most pubs will have a St Patricks night celebration but nothing for our own patron saint
We are not aloud to be patriotic in Engalnd as we get accused of being a bigot or racist I am neither but I am patriotic and proud to be English. Happy saint georges day to you all

I think I might have a curry to celebrate.

                    Happy St Georges day.

Follow your spirit, and upon this charge. Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
                      Happy St George's Day.
It's also the anniversary of Shakespeare's death as well as his birth.

About as likely as I am to go out and banish snakes on Féile Pádraig.
I might have an ale to mark it though.

This reminds me of the singing of "Keep St George in my heart keep me English" I heard from the street the other day. That song's always grated on me.

I think the curry is a cracking idea - proper British grub!
(About as British as things anything involving spuds anyway.)

In fact - you've put me right in the mood for a curry now. Might have to sweet-talk the missus to get her making one as I've not got the time today.

Yes it's a great marketing opportunity.

I've been trying to pin down why I don't feel the need to 'celebrate' being English: I think it boils down to not feeling the need to feel superior over any other nationality. I think

I was quite pleased to only pay 99p for my pint of Bombardier though
