Eh, no Mr Frosty will have some haggis that has been nuked in the microwave. I will be having some pasta with roasted tom and garlic sauce - yum. Do you what is in haggis?

Yeah, but it tastes so good.

Mine's in the steamer and I can smell it now.

I got a taste for it when I was at Universiity in Edinburgh. 2nd & 3rd years there were 6 of us sharing a flat. Most of the time we'd all be off doing various things, but every Wednesday we'd gather and have Haggis, tatties & neep for dinner, taking it in turns to cook it. Tasty, nutritious and, most importantly, cheap!

            !
How long do you steam it for? and do you wrap it in foil first? Been wondering if I could steam the ruddy thing this year but couldn't find a time anywhere.

              Steaming time depends on size!
We are having our haggis and clapshot tomorrow (because I go out Tuesdays and don't eat supper), and sharing a 'single portion' size, which should take about 30 mins steaming. Haggis is nice, but VERY bad for weight loss programs!

No Haggis for me this year - my Grandad would turn in his grave - but it does't agree with me.

                          May have a wee dram....

We had haggis last night, as OH is away on business tonight. It was a bit of the spur of the moment thing when i was in M&S and they had a special offer on . But I had turnip and potato at home, so grabbed a nice wee haggis.

Trying to tot up the calories afterwards, studying the label, I was shocked to discover M&S haggis has never been near a sheep, but is very well aquainted with pigs!

I love M&S and I love their food, but i'm not sure they should be allowed to call it Scottish haggis, even if it was very tasty
