    Happy Birthday To Me!

    It's not my birthday until July.....this is the best birthday present I've ever had for Christmas!!

    Today my parents have announced that they are taking us to Maastricht to see Andre Rieu live at the Vrijthof!! OMG!!

    I was born in Maastricht and haven't seen it since was almost 8.

    So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

      As I child, I spoke fluent Cloggy. I'm struggling to remember it now, but hopefully it will come back to me. Oh, I can't wait.........feel like a kid at Christmas!

                woohoo! That is an awesome present! I bet you understand a whole lot of what they are saying as soon as you get there. They do say that if kids learn a language before they are 2 yo they never forget it.

                      The rub is....it's a very long coach trip. I think we'll need to chat about this - I don't think either of my aged parents, or my disabled husband, can stay put in a coach for quite that long. To Google......research is needed!

                        How brilliant... I watched his Christmas show late on Christmas Eve... undoubtedly inspiring... I had a blazing fire on, red wine and his show.... Just closed my eyes and listened... Bliss and this from some one who is more contemporary in my music tastes...
                        I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

                          Oh.My.Gosh. We've found the most beautiful self catering place to stay in, contacted a restaurant on the Vrijthof to ask about reserving a table that we can watch the concert from, and AND!!!!

                          The parents have decided that a weekend isn't long enough - we're going for a week!!!!!!!!!!! There are so many places we want to go back to. It's almost forty years since we left, so it would be daft to be stuck with a coach party and itinerary. The BH wants to take the Chunnel and drive to Maastricht via Calais. All part of the adventure!

                          Ahhhhhhhh! I can't WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
