  • Had a really rubbish afternoon :(

    Warning - Tearfull rant contained

Went library before picked kids up to save time as its swimming night tonight and was doing really well time and energy wise. On way to pick son up from playschool car bumped (over a brick I thought), rattled and then I smelt fumes so I pulled over in a residents parking bay without attempting to park on the road as it has such high kerbs and I didnt know if car was gonna explode. I could hear something rattling around underneath but had no idea what happened.

Ran to get son, rang someone to pick Bluebelle up from school and then school to arrange. Rang leasing co (Mr D's co car) then they put me through to RAC and they arrived around 30 mins later. Turns out a pot hole had jolted car and broken the road spring (something to do with the suspension) and it was a garage job. Arranged babysitter and someone to get my washing in (as black cloud was looming) as rac man thought it could be done today, then paniced when he said it wouldnt be done till tomorrow (sisters hen night tomorrow night down in Enfield) and car had to be towed into Northampton.

Finaly got home, rac man met me at bottom of the road and I had to carry bluebelles car seat up the road and bluebelle (love her) had to drag Bashfull bills up as it was too heavy for me to carry. Am only now doing dinner as had to get washing in, have a cry and then a rant at Mr D as he made me feel like it was my fault. I have also been trying to find someone to run me into Northampton tomorrow so I can get to London (thats if the car can be done on time) and one friend I rang to ask started crying so I asked her what was wrong and her grandaughter had died that morning - I felt really awful then.

PLEASE cheer me up - off to have tea then back later for my sympathy!

    A huge ((((((((((hug)))))))))) Tammy.

I can't do anything to help out, but I hope you get it all sorted... I'm sure Mr D was just doing that thing you do when you're worried about someone and end up shouting at them when you realise they're ok...

Oh Tammy Big hugs nothing worse than the car breaking down, especially when you need it for something special!
Take it easy pea and pod need you to stay calm, I'm sure you'll get to london even if it means the extra expense of the train fare it will all work out in the end, once dinners done sit down and relax even if family life means you only get half an hour

Not a good day then tammy, but no real damage done. Hope you were careful lifting that carseat....

You are allowed to be T&E when pregnant, and your OH was prob just gut-reacting angry. Mine does that all the time

How to cheer you up.. hmmmm, just watched the cat fall off a bean bag that I had balanced precariously on top of the open toy box (to ensure the cat couldn't get on it lol), and she obviously thought she was a contortionist... she is now giving me evils lying on the floor instead

( I don't want her on it as it's just been washed....)

We all have crappy days but I have the solution....

Hot bubble bath, music, bar of dairy milk and a glass of red.... (In your case a glass of Shloer!) He he.

            Hugs sweetie.

That sounds like a bag of crap day.

Time to break out your emergency chocolate and eat it in a bubble bath...with a good book, and fluffy slippers and warm dressing gown to pop on once you are out.

Right - gonna get kids to bed then get in that bath as suggested. My dressing gown is still new, unwashed and so ever so soft so I will look forward to its comforting fluffiness! Will sign off now but try and pop in before I go tomorrow (depending what happens with the car) so dont worry if you dont hear from me - will be back Sunday night, possibly in time for SNC.

                Love you all loads

That's right Hun, you pamper yourself, and have a good chill-out. Plenty of r'n'r before tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about your friend though - kinda brings things into perspective, doesn't it!
