Default GYO related prezzies!!

Just been and dropped off the last of the Crimbo prezzies and picked up a few corkers myself!

Final GYO related tally of prezzies is:-

1) Hugh Fearlessly eats it all by Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall ( of Gardeners Rest fame?)
2) The Lunar Garden planting by the moon phases
3)Gardening Through the Year (large glossy general gardening book)
4) Heated propogator (to me, from me!)

Remids me a bit of my old MOM pack!

Looking forward to reading all of them!

Hi Snadger,

My mom bought me a gift set that contained Pruners, gardening gloves and some twine. I also had some money from my parents which so far I've bought a hoe and a rake. I'm going to use the rest for the materials for my dad (bless him) to build me a coldframe.

I got a coldframe (Yippee!!) and 2 sets of hand-held tools: the givers were apologising and saying they still had the receipts, but I said if it was all the same to them I'd keep both sets as I def. need them (and have a tendency to put them down in one area of the garden and forget where they are!) OH also tried to steal a lovely bird house which my father in law was given, as he thought it was mine!! Maybe next year!

Nice One Snadger!

The only GYO related actual prezzie we got was the Heyasson Fruit Expert Book from the inlaws, but then again we weren't expecting too much GYO related, as we've already treated ourselves a lot this fall with bits n pieces for the plot, plus of course the excellent GYO related MOM pack that arrived on Saturday!

Yo, I'll have to try that with Mr D!

Got a decent hand trowel off my mum (she'd seen the fact that the one I was using was bent back from our heavy soil) which looks far too new and shiny to use! Also got some book vouchers (off to Borders this afternoon / tomorrow, can't wait as I'm a sad one for book shops and am thinking of getting the Nigel Slater diary thing after other recomendations) and some good hard cash. All very exciting and much better than socks, although I did get some thermal ones of those too!

We had some lovely prezzies from Mr MB's sister and mother - a new Hoe (ho ho of course), the RHS Fruit & Vegetable Gardening book and Mum also gave us some money, so we can afford to put plastic windows in the greenhouse down on the lottie. Yippee - Mr MB has plans for all sorts in that. oops - all sorts GROWING of course!
