  • GYO around the world

An idea came to me whilst on holiday, and I've only just remembered it...

Of several magazines I've read during my lifetime, many of them have a section where the reader has a photo of themselves reading the magazine in question in some far flung, and occasionally bizarre locations. I actually took my copy of GYO with me to Tuscany, but don't really like having my photo taken (believe it or believe it not), so didn't end up with a photo of me reading it.

Do you think it would be interesting to see how far flung GYO is read - I know we have several members from around the globe on this forum, but thought it would be interesting personally to see the mag around the world.

Maybe Two-Sheds could start the ball rolling with a shot of her reading GYO in Singapore?...

I've never been to Wiltshire, but I'm sure it has it's beauties...

I'd go for that Only thing is, the furthest I'll get in the near future is Ourgate and Roadend. Though I am going to Bridlington in a couple of weeks - does that count????

The furthest I'll probably go from Ipswich is a visit to Colchester~so I probably couldn't get any closer to it's origins!!Could take a pic at one of the zoo enclosures & pretend I'm on safari!

I only went to Badminton, Glos, this year. Hardly exotic and not really worthy of a pic. Maybe a shot with some horses in the background and you could all imagine I was in Beijing, ha ha!

Doesn't have to be far flung of course - it's just what I've seen in other mags.

This may be a bit of a cheat but my little sis is in the Navy and when she next goes on deployment I'll get to take a mag with her and take a pic at every port they stop at?
The furthest I go at mo is Great Yarmouth!

Separate thread with a 'sticky' to keep it at top of page?

I just thought it might be a nice idea for the magazine - to illustrate the diversity of the readership, and the travel-ability of the mag...
