I presume you mean ground coffee beans. If so, these are a welcome addition to the compost bin, I sprinkle them on and mix in well. Or you can apply direct to the soil around plants as a mulch which will also keep the slugs at bay.

I use any I have to ward off slugs, it does seem to work. They are also a good soil improver.

Spent coffee is acidic so ideal round your blueberry bushes.

I have a coffee machine and I put the used grounds and filter straight in the compost bin. They are a good source of nitrogen and if you add a couple of cups to a bucket of water, leave for 24 hours you can use it as a fertilising drink for your plants.

I put my coffee grounds in the compost bins. Its not true that it will keep all your slugs away though....not if you have superslugs who will happily travel over pellets, ground egg shells and coffee grinds to eat all your rhubarb!

If I have left over percolated coffee, I dilute it with water and water the plants with it. They seem to like it. Always done it since my mum did the same - I never questioned why lol

Wouldn't it "tan" your skin so you'd need to rub it on all over to avoid that leopard look.
