    Grass & buts

    When do you think the grass will stop growing, every time I cut it within a week or so it could do with another cut???

    Also my waterbuts should I empty them or leave the water in through the winter???

    Shaun I forgot where you were located but I think it is south isn't it (near Gatwick?) - edit your profile and it will appear up on the right opposite your name - my grass is still growing and I think each cut will be the last... I guess the cutting will stop when you start getting frost on the lawn in the morning: I've only had a couple of frosts on the shed roof so far. Waterbutts - ice causes the butt to crack if there is no room for expansion - I figure if it is a round one and there is room at the top so it should be fine.
    I have one of the rectangular ones wall mounted on the side of the house and that one gets half emptied as it was too expensive to risk in a hard winter!
    Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
