  • Is the Grapevine clock on the blink?

I have just sent a message about strawbs v. rasps. It was 1.32 when I sent it, but the time recorded on the forum is 1.40! It's not even 1.40 yet as I send off this one.

Don't know about the clock, but although I'm technically logged in and able to post, it's not showing the details at the top of the page, it means I'm struggling to PM people, which I normally don't do much of, but wouldn't you know it, this week I need to.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

It's obviously your turn for the Grapevine Gremlin, Bluemoon !

Flum's had it, Piskie's had it, I think Nicos did a while back, and Wayne's had it recently too!

Comes round here I'll splat it big time!

              Public Health Warning
Do ensure you are inoculated against the very nasty and equally virulent Grapevine Gremlin. It strikes at any time and symptoms include but are not limited to:
              - staring at screen
              - long periods of waiting
              - inability to gain access
              - loss of words on screen due to freeze
              - twitching around the eyes
              - sore elbows from long periods of waiting
              - broken monitor from heavy blows
              - increased need for alcohol/chocolate

It's a little known fact that the Grapevine is in fact fitted with a flux capacitor and has travelled back in time 8 minutes.

That's why I won't actually write this post for another 8 minutes and yet it's on the forum already!

Sadly it can't time shift again until it generates another 1.21 Gigawatts of electricity and we're all out of plutonium.

Time, who cares, so long as you are enjoying it.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I actually called the speaking clock (now dial 123 - used to be called 'Tim' when I were a lass!) t'other day, coz my pooter, mobile, watch and kitchen clock all said different times. Turns out bladdy Pooter was right (no, not the 'Vine), mobile was 10 seconds out, watch was about a minute or so out, but the kitchen clock (that I refer to most ) was on another planet!

The last time I phoned the speaking clock "Tinkerbell" was the announcer.

PS UK Time - What's the current UK time now? is quite accurate
