Update - The visit has been postponed to 7th March, meeting at (approx)11am outside the shop where the chairs are set up. It is the Grow Your Own Weekend, and I have been told entry is free. We intend to picnic , so bring a packed lunch. PM or post names if you can come.

You can go to Wisley on any day - they had to give up trying to reserve Sundays for members because too many non-members turned up and abused the staff who wouldn't let them in!

    I'll PM you too.

I am interested - but work erratic shifts so I will see what date is chosen and then see if I am working or can swap.

The date set for the Wisley meeting is 7th Feb. We are still working out timings, as some people have further to come, and are picking up people on the way. If anyone else is interested, please let me know. As we now have 11 people (hopefully), I think a picnic lunch is more likely than a pub one.

Just gone to their website and groups of 10 or more qualify for the discount, but it must be booked in advance. So, peeps, you need to sign up soonest, unless of course at least 5 are members!

Slightly peeved that under 25s get half price membership...who said ageism was dead?!?

It's ok. I'm assured by the website that it's only butterflies they're releasing in there. Don't *think* any of those are flesh eating, but you never know with these tropical types...

I must admit I'm looking forward to going but yes; a bit nervous as well about meeting all these strange people in one go!! lol

Strange as in never seen them b4, don't know how we will all get on together! It's all good meeting up, please don't get me wrong!! It's just that ice breking thing! Once we get over that I'm sure we will all be fine!
I can perhaps see this becoming a regular thing, couple of times a year would be nice!

Jackie, if you can get to Gatwick via coach, you are more than welcome to come with me - I can pick you up from there as it's only 15 mins from me. If you're not allergic tto cats, you can even slum it in my cottage!
