| Splendid view! congrats, very impressive, but do you walk and read at the same time? In my youth I could cook a full roast dinner whilst reading a Terry Pratchett or David Eddings. Unfortunately my days of being at the stove with a full blown novel are long gone - I forget which planet I'm on these days!!

| Jane, the only trouble with David Eddings is I'd forget about dinner altogether... I confess to liking the old avatar too Grandpa, but have to admit there's a rustic charm to the new one.

| [quote=shirlthegirl43;56899]Since this thread seems to be an appreciation of dragons in one form or another - how many grapes have read Eragon?[/QUO I have seen the film Eragon, is it based on the book? Film was excellent, book must be too if not better. Who is it by and where am I likey to get a copy? Kirsty |

| Kirsty b, the film is indeed based on the book - the book is probably available in all bookshops - I got the second one in the series from Tesco. They are by Christopher Paolini, first book is Eragon, second is Eldest and there is a third on the way. Superb books, written by a young lad (he was 15 or 16 when he started writing Eragon) and appealing to all ages. My elder son vowed not to read it when I bought it then fought me for the book!!! Yet to go and see the film though. Last edited by shirlthegirl43; 17-01-2007 at 08:57 AM. |

| Thank you all for your kind remarks, he looks better in other forums I visit which allow activation coz his tails swishes and the paper turns and a larger size helps.I loved the thought of some thinking my other dragon gave the impression of me being tall and bearded. White hair? yes, 5'9", clean shaven and sort of Father Chistmas shape.
