Not to the opera, but I "saw" Al Green at the Royal Albert. Well actually I didn't see him, because the seating wasn't tiered and I'm shorter than everyone else

I've been to the Albert Hall once - the upper tiers are not great if you suffer from vertigo, as I do. We saw Eric Clapton, Sting and Mark Knopfler all on stage together - terrrrrifffic!!

Ooooh, I've just remembered. They closed the nearest Tube station before the end of the show, and we didn't know, so there was much confusion, and sore feet, as we had to hike to the next nearest station to get the train. Consequently, we then missed our last train ...

Was treated to madame B last week - pressie from daughter and family. Absolutelywonderful spectacle and we were so lucky to enjoy it - even had front seats in one of the boxes in the Grand Circle - so posh and swanky! ( OH will be 70 this year and the present was partly joint Christmas one and partly special celebration for him.)
          Hope Lettucegrow has/had wonderful time

Home now and what a wonderful evening. It's wonderful and the set is just beautiful. We had fantastic stall seats facing where all the drama takes place. It was a memorable pressie from daughter no. 1for a bday I'd rather ignore!
