Default gloves

Just reading about all your footwear on a previous thread. Great pics! I personally have a very boring pair of dunlop green wellies! They are fab though!

Now gloves, i have happened upon a new brand that seem to survive the finger test! Kixx I have tried the gardening one of these but the finger test failed so bought the heavier work ones, and they work a treat. Shame really the cerise pink ones werent available in the heavy work section!

So lets hear what you use, if any, sometimes they just get in the way!

Sandra

I use the green rubberised ones with cotton backs. Morrisons £2.15, Garden Centres £5 and Focus (discontinued line) £1.45).
On eapir lasts 1 years : autumn leaf collection ruins them normally but now I have a leaf collector last year's pair still going strong.

I was given a pair of pink lady briers with leather, just perfect for clearing the raspberry plot. I have to wear glove as I work with kids & food & muddy stained hands are not good

I can't stand wearing gloves, so my nails are all broken and dirty. Hey ho, that's what nail varnish was invented for. And breadmaking

Normally I avoid gloves, you can't feel what you're doing. However for clearing brambles and nettles I have a pair of blue suedy gardening gloves which I bought from the Co-op for around £5. They're quite good.

I don't like using gloves for gardening, preferring a 'hands on' approach.

I have one leather gauntlet next to the woodburner for opening and shutting the door as it can get bl@@dy hot!

I hate wearing gardening gloves (or rubber gloves for washing up). It plays hob with your skin but I need to feel what I'm doing. However, I use gloves for applying blood fish and bone meal and have a really classy (49p!) Wilko's pair with multi-coloured patchwork (what else) fingers.

I have some nice blue gloves supposedly proof against all the garden can throw at them. I would prefer to garden without gloves but I'm allergic to Borage and this place is borage city!
