  • Gardening is taking over my life

It seems that everything is now influenced by gardening.

Currently (between back stretches and rests) I am decorating the nursery, and as we don't know the sex of Bean we decided to paint the room white, and use colours abundantly.

I therefore decided that I'd paint polka dots on the wall in all the colours of the rainbow. I've yet to do that, but it will be done.

When looking for paints we decided to have a shop around, and look for a light that would work with the polka dots. We picked up one of those paper globe things that had a string of different coloured beads around it and thought it would look great. However, as we kept walking we saw the perfect light. Ladies and Germs, I give you.........

    Cati the Caterpillar

    and when he's excited...

We then went to get curtains, and yes, you've guessed it...

I then thought about artwork on teh wall, and we couldn't find enything, so I picked up a blank canvas, and I'm going to paint some simplistic flowers on it using the same colours that will be on the wall.

It's everywhere I tell you, gardening gets in your blood and then that's it!

I just hope Bean likes it.

We saw the light and had to buy it (t'weren't cheap, but hey).

Back's a little better - taking me ages to do anything on account that I have to keep laying down and doing my stretches. Most frustrating.

i love the light, i'm sure bean will be very impressed

i loved having themed bedrooms for my son ........ when he was about 7 he got heavily into planes and the war and stuff ....... so i painted the whole of one wall with a union jack, painted the walls red and white, and the ceiling blue, stuck glow in the dark stars on, then he made a load of planes which were all flying through the skies, in between cardboard and cotton wool ball clouds, then i got a load of WWII posters and stuck them up ...... even if a i say so myself it looked really fab

Hope the caterpillars and butterflies don't cause you as much grief as the REAL ones that have been the bane of my year, and still appearing!
