  • A gardening first...

I decided to nip out to put some things in the shed. Nothing unusual about this, except then I got sidetracked (as we do lol) into tidying up a few bits and pieces, digging the roots of the sweetcorn out, emptying tomato pots, pulling up spent sunflowers... when I realised I still had my posh frock on!

    Ooops!

Have you ever gardened in clothes you really ought not to have done?!

Nearest I did was to go outside in my slippers, they're my new furry booties and so comfy and warm so I want them to last.

I haven't got a posh frock! I went to the Yorkshire in Bloom award presentations on behalf of our village and noted that the dress code was 'day dress'. Not having anything that fitted that description I went in a skirt and blouse. Got away with it! (Don't have many of those either!) I need clothes you can wear to clean out chickens!

2 Autumns ago I wanted some plums off our tree so I set about shimming up the trunk to get those I could reach without bothering with fetching a step ladder...it was at this point I realised I had my BF's Slippers on, and he's 2 sizes bigger than me.

I often start gardening in my posh clothes or slippers.

They just dont make slippers like they used to these days.

Have a few posh frocks, but never seem to wear them these days!! However, do tend to get home from work and just go out to have a look at the garden and end up doing things!!! Worst mistake is going to the lottie in sandals - just for a quick visit - the state of my feet when I get home is absolutely disgusting.

                      Suttons:

This woman shouldn't be taking compost out of her bin in those white trousers.

When I grew veg in the back garden, I used to do my morning check over in my PJs!
PS I still take Dexter next door, via the main street to his Auntie Margarets next door in my PJs - and she frequently pops round in her PJs and dressing gown.....oops, hope she never reads this!

Lots of times and now I have comfy trousers to wear indoors and I cant be bothered to change to go into town and wear them, why do I always meet someone I dont want to see me looking like someone who has been dragged through the hedge backwards lol.
