    The Gardeners Rest Panto........

    As the self appointed artistic director of the yearly panto applications are now being taken for various important roles...........Jack, Rary and Baldy could this be you?


    However, until this years production title is decided upon there is also the possibility of this.........could YOU do this challenging role justice?


    Panto titles under consideration are -

    Jack and the has Bean Stalk
    Slugerella
    Sleeping Beastie
    Duck Whittington

    If anybody has any serious suggestions for other Panto titles please state them on here.

    Oh and we also need a.....

      Is Slugerella going to be a Spanish themed panto?

      Rory and I had already been nominated for front and back of panto horse on another thread, but we could always do

        There are no rules about having more than 1 Panto animal - we could have a horse, cow and kangaroo!

              So, now we just need another half of an elephant.....any suggestions?

              Unfortunately, Cad, Rary and Baldy are already spoken for - Cad is going to be the Christmas kangaroo..

                        A guitar playing panto moo cow - now that's a brilliant idea Baldy.........your on.

                        You lot do realise that the GR does not have a stage as such.

                        All performances are undertaken either within the bar itself or after having one drink too many on top of the bar.

                        This can however, cause balance problems for some as last year the Crimbo fairy had to flutter his wings at supersonic speed just to keep the back end of the panto horse upright. The front end was found absolutely ratted in the warmth of the compost heap and has since been refused a performers license.

                            Only if you do the ice cream (and it can only be vanilla and strawberry flavours) in those little tubs with the peel-off cardboard tops and the little wooden spatula. And charge one and a half times the entrance ticket price for it......

                              cynic - no wonder the GR panto made a loss last year (so i hear, I was somewhere else back then)...
