Default Garden in June.

Well, here we go again. You are invited to take a walk round the garden as it was on the 1st of June 2007. There are a lot of pictures because I added some individual shots of lfowers. I could name most of them, but there are one or three Clematis which have lost their labels over the years.
Enjoy!.

And yes I know you may have seen the first 3 pictures before, but I do not want to move them and break a link for elsewhere!
The trees all the way down the Vista (looking at the Swing seat) are all fruit trees. As you can see there are lots of lower growing herbs underneath them to encourage bees and friendly insects.
I included some shots of the Veg patches for you this time too!

Palustris, what a beautiful garden you have. I can see years of work have gone in there. Thank you for taking the time to post the pics and share it with us, and for posting the veg garden. We haven't seen that before.
I loved your scree beds and the alpine house - and your swing seat. Hope you get time to enjoy sitting there.
And the pic of the woodpecker. We have only ever had them once in the garden. They turned up last year and stuck around for a few days then were gone. We were quite enchanted. I then learned they had similar habits to magpies so maybe not sorry they went away.
Thanks again Palustris. I do love a walk round a garden.

Correct me if I am wrong but Palustris means 'Marshy' I think?

I was expecting to see bog plants and a pond!

Very serene looking garden, not fancy changing your name to Serene? (Just remembered we've got a serrenity!)

Only joking, very impressive garden and you have a good right to be proud of it!

Ah, but there are actually THREE ponds, if you look closely enough and a dry (ish) stream bed full of hostas and a bog garden full of primula japonica. Actually the last one does not show on the photos cos it is deep in the shrubbery!. However, the pseudonym has little to do with actual gardening, it is more of a pun than anything else.

Thought I'd add a few pics of Flummery Towers grounds!
they are -
View from the back door - to the bird table which is surrounded by herbs (and strange stuff growing from birsdseed!)
View from the shed door.
View across the biggest pond (there's another small one and one in the front garden)
Hardy fuchsia and other June stuff.
View across the 'meadow'.

There have been a few pics on my blog of the veg bit but these show what Mr Flum calls my 'plum pudding' approach to gardening - and my aversion to lawns!
