  • funeral went well

thanks to all who sent condolences on the death of my cousin. the funeral was last friday and it went well, as well as a funeral can go. the church was packed and we even managed a few laughs as well as a round of applause for a good man who lived a good life. things are slowly getting back to normal and my cousins wife and children are copi. so, once again thank you so much for your messages of support, they meant a great deal to me.

Glad it went well, there will be times when it all comes back to you, just try and remember the good times you shared, support each other, and time is a great healer that doesnt make it any less hurtful. My eldest sister has a photo of my late middle sister in the window by her table, so everytime we have a family meal she is there with us, There isnt a day goes by when I dont think about my sister. Just the other day a song came on the radio that was played over and over again when my sister had a miscarriage back in 1994, so its not just the latest thing that comes to mind.
      Take time to heal.

At every good funeral you should manage a few laughs. After all, good people have a sense of humour (in my opinion) and should be remembered as rounded characters. I hope they laugh at mine (in the nicest possible way!)
Best wishes to you and your consin's wife and family. It's a hard time once the funeral is over. I think that's when it really kicks in.

Laughs at a funeral are not a bad thing. We had several at my nephew's when his rubgy coach was telling 'tales from the pitch' its seems he was a bit of a naughty boy at times...

Best wishes to you all xxxxxx

Glad it went well ( for a funeral) they are never very easy occasions. Things never get any better but they do get easier. Best wishes to you and your family.
