Did anyone see it last night? What an inspiration those kids are.

I only watched the first one BM (filmed in Sheffield) and although I love Phil Tuffnel, I didn't enjoy it much, so haven't watched another one.

It was on in the background but I wasn't watching it per se. As a conceptual idea, if I think its a bit too ground force, with challenge anneka thrown in. I think we moved past this, when diarmuid and lawrence did the conbined home garden show. I think Alan Titchmarsh's show is a bit samey, its not really cutting edge enough.

I think they need to find a new angle, it doesn't really hold my attention for long.

I'd like to see the restoration guy, do some restoration gardens, where they convert some classic gardens, back to their former glory, with a 21st century twist.

It was the kids with learning difficulties that held my attention & the effect that the whole project had on them.

Sorry BM, I wasn't knocking you, I wasn't really paying it that much attention.

As a genre we seemed to have moved into this type of feel good telly, to be on DIY SOS these days you have to be penniless, disabled and or dying. Are these the only people worthy enough in our eyes, or is that the only way they can get enough people to help out?

          Am I too cynical?

No offense taken Micky, it never entered my mind. I just love to see these kids getting involved.

I watched the last show last night - it was wonderful to see that lad (living in a flat) getting so excited about growing. The fact that he had been reading a gardening book for so long ... awww

It was an excellent show - and had I not been away I would have gone down to the London one to help with the final push.

I saw last nights one as well wish I had seen the other three I'm sure that they will be repeated at some point though I really felt sorry for the 88 year old lady who loved flowers but has never had a garden makes me feel lucky and thankful that I as well as my kids have had one
