I haven't been fishing since I was a kid, I'd love to start again but I wouldn't have a notion where to go or what to do.

I still have nightmares about an elver that I caught in a jam jar in the Taff and brought home as my pet. I can still see it, stiff and grey, staring at me with its dead eyes. I wouldn't accept that it was dead and kept it in the bedroom for a week until my mum took it and flushed it down the loo when I was at school.
                I was so upset

Same as when we used to get frog spawn and put it in a jar.
Put it in the shed, no food, no light we wondered why they didnt grow and then died

another stall holder next to us at a local Farmers market sells shell fish etc caught out of Weymouth harbour
she told me the spring tide last week stopped the shell fish from moving around so harder to catch but the fish were jumping in the boat
herring, pollock, she had some massive bass, brill and turbot all caught just offshore
