We've just been out to vote and spotted a Christmas tree in the living room of a house around the corner.

So was wondering has anyone else spotted one ?

Not spotted any trees yet but it won't be long now - Sinter Klaas arrives in town here on Sunday Can't wait (I am the biggest kid in the world). He brings gifts to Dutch children on December 5th so the festive season starts earlier.
    Happy Gardening,

I know I've been sewing Christmas things but, honestly.......that takes the biscuit.

Far tooooooo early! Though, to be fair, I have just purchased a very pretty holey, (with holes not Church-y) star to hang in the front room window. I don't like to festoon the place with lights, though I don't mind those that do, but I can't afford: A. The Lights in the first place or B. The electricity bill! Think streets look lovely when everyone puts up lights, so don't like to look a bit bah-humbug if we're the only house without a little festive cheer somewhere
You may say I'm a dreamer... But I'm not the only one...

I'm an official nutter - an official 'cropper' of a nutter! I am sooooo pleased to be a cropper! Hurrah!

Maybe they are celebrating Christmas early for some reason.

I haven't seen a decorated tree up but I've seen 2 places advertising trees "ready now!"

The house in the village that still has icicle lights up from last Christmas hasn't switched them on yet though, thank goodness.

I like to have Christmas at Christmas, if it started now, by Dec 25 I'd be sick of it and it would not be a joy at all.

Does anyone with icicle lights on their house ever take them down

I have to confess - the Christmas greenery in the hallway stays up all year round. I cannot be arrised to fight with it every December and 20+ metres of it takes a lot of storage. I did put the lights on it back in August - but that was because a) I'd just bought them and they were dead cheap, and b) they came with a 30 day guarantee and I didn't want them to go 'phut' over Christmas.

Christmas greenery up all year round? In my house, by Christmas it would be so dustcovered it could be an orangery and nobody would know

No trees, but there are some Christmas fairly lights winking away in what I think is a student flat above a shop near me (unless it's a ruse by the shop owner to make it look habitated).
