  • First signs of Autumn....

Just seen a couple of storks heading South!....must be Autumn now then

Also large groups of swallows gathering on the telephone cables by the sides of the roads.

Good luck little ones- tis a long way go go !

For the past week the dew on the lawn has been really heavy- and the yellowing leaves dropping from the trees are all suggesting summer is coming to a close.

Anyone else getting that Autumnal feeling?????

Yup! Very very heavy dew most mornings. The Whitebeams out the back are beginning to turn, too.

      Shut up, Steve!

Saw my first stork for quite a while yesterday on the way home as it goes, hadnt really thought of it till now.
Flippin redders 'ere, went out for a walk to shout at my sleeping guards, and it was easily in the late 30's. Dripping sweat when I came back in.
Good job I packed a fleece for going home in then.

Funnily enough, I just posted on Facebook yesterday that Autumn is on its way because the sunsets have started looking really beautiful. I find that as Autumn and Summer approach the sunsets start to look really stunning - I always see it as a sign that the seasons are changing (probably just in my daft head though )

There's definitely been a bit of a nip in the air the last two evenings and the leaves of the cherry trees are brown. It seems early this year.

Did I blink and miss the summer then?

Yup, slightly chilly evenings here too. Haven't opened greenhouse vents much lately either.

Not sure about you folks, but for me this year has gone so fast (probably the great weather in April). Still, Autumn light is amazing for photographing so I'm looking forward to it
